Geocaching - McClain Style Part 1

Christmas 2007 I bought my husband our first GPS unit, and it opened a whole new world for us.  We became Geocachers!  Geocaching led us to places we didn't know existed, down back roads (you know I love that) and to historical places we passed every day without knowing they were there.  If you want to have some good clean fun with the kids or grandkids, check out Geocaching.com.  For a little gas you can spend the day looking for Tupperware in the woods using billion dollar satellites to help you.  Or if you want to spend a bit more, add our lunch rule to your game - lunch had to be a small cafe that we had never been to before, unless we were in Bandera and then we HAD to go to OST.

Since the Texas heat has hit us sending us into air conditioned comfort, and our trip out west to the Grand Canyon and points beyond is still in the works, I thought you might like to visit some of these places via a digital scrapbook I kept as we went along.  If I see something that needs commenting on, well you know me, the blabbermouth.  Some are of interesting places, some are just boring little old lady scrapbook pages, but we had fun at all but one place (it will show up in later offerings).

 Kaddie-Did was soon replaced by Dora the Explorer.  Although a nice car for me, Walt kept hitting his head every time he got in the car.
